Paint first.
Interior next.

Color-matched paint restoration and interior reconditioning for dealership pre-owned inventory — on your lot, on your schedule.

What We Restore

Every Unit Has a Path to Front-Line Ready

Paint Restoration & Repair

This is the work DFW dealers call us for most. Pre-owned inventory arrives with chips, lot rash, bumper scrapes, faded clear coat, and panels that will not survive a walkaround. We restore the finish — touch-up, blend, and refinish as needed — so the car presents as retail, not as a repair.

Common Cause
Lot traffic, transport, weather, prior ownership, auction handling
Who It Affects
Certified and non-certified pre-owned, trades, aged units
Where We Work
On the dealership lot — no off-site paint cycle unless required

Scratch & Clear Coat Repair

Key marks, scuffs, bumper scrapes, and clear-coat damage are among the most common reasons a unit cannot front-line. We repair and refinish when needed — color matched, blended, and finished so the damage does not read under showroom lighting.

Bumper & Panel Refinish

Bumpers and panels take the brunt of retail life. Scrapes, scuffs, and prior poor blend work keep cars in the back row. We assess each panel honestly and restore the appearance so the unit can move.

Interior Restoration

A corrected exterior still fails a walkaround if the cabin looks used. We restore leather, vinyl, plastic, carpet, and trim on the lot — tears, wear, burns, staining, faded dye, and tired touchpoints — so pre-owned interiors present to certified standard.

Dealer Pre-Owned Reconditioning

Trades, auction purchases, and aged units all need a consistent path to the line. We partner with dealerships as an on-call recon team: paint first, interior second, supporting appearance work as needed. Inventory stays on the property. Front-line timing stays under your control.

Storm & Appearance Damage

A single storm can leave scratches, clear-coat hits, and surface damage across hoods, roofs, trunks, and panels. We work systematically so inventory is not grounded. Paint restoration leads. Where the factory finish is still intact and only contour work is required, paintless dent removal is available as a minor supporting service.

Paintless Dent Removal · Supporting

When the paint is intact and a panel only needs the metal returned to contour, paintless dent removal is an efficient supporting method. It is one tool in the recon process — not the focus of the company. If PDR is not the right call, we say so and restore the finish the correct way.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Texas Reconditioning actually do for dealerships?

We restore pre-owned inventory on the lot so it can front-line. The primary work is paint restoration and repair — chips, scratches, clear coat, bumpers, and blended panel work. The secondary work is interior restoration — leather, vinyl, plastic, carpet, and trim. Supporting methods, including paintless dent removal, are used only when they are the right fit.

Do you only work with dealerships?

Dealership pre-owned inventory is our focus. Private owners receive the same white-glove standard at home, work, or another agreed location across DFW.

What does interior restoration cover?

Seats and bolsters, vinyl and plastic trim, consoles, door panels, carpet, burns, wear holes, dye fade, and common cabin presentation issues. We assess honestly. If a component should be replaced rather than restored, we will say so.

When do you use paintless dent removal?

Only when the factory paint is intact and the metal can be returned to contour without refinishing. If the paint is cracked, chipped, or the panel needs restoration, we restore the finish instead. PDR is a minor supporting service, not the default recommendation.

Will insurance cover the work?

Storm-related appearance damage is often addressed under comprehensive coverage. Collision-related work may fall under collision coverage, subject to the deductible. We work with major carriers and can assist with documentation. Dealer recon work is typically a wholesale RO, not an insurance claim.

How long does a typical restoration take?

A focused scratch or interior repair can often be completed the same day. Multi-unit dealer work is scheduled to the lot's pace. Because we work on-site, inventory does not leave the property and you are not waiting on a shop callback.
